Los Angeles Rams 2021 Schedule: Three Must See Games at So-Fi

The NFL released its schedule on Wednesday. While we’ve known the opponents for awhile, we finally know when those games will take place. The Los Angeles Rams opened So-Fi stadium last year, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans were not allowed at the stadium. 2021 will mark the first time that Rams fans will get to see their team in the new stadium. Here are the top-three games to see at So-Fi Stadium next year.

Week 1 – Chicago Bears (SNF)

It really doesn’t get much better than the home opener. As someone who went to the Coliseum in the Rams first game back in Los Angeles, the atmosphere was incredible. A lot has happened over the last year with the COVID-19 pandemic. Being able to watch football together in the same place with other fans is going to be a special moment.

Additionally, it doesn’t get much better than primetime football to open the season. The Rams will have a good chance to win this game and to do so in the first game with fans will be unforgettable. You’re going to want to be there!

Week 7 – Detroit Lions

You could put the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3 here as well, however, Week 7 is going to be huge. Not only will quarterback Matthew Stafford be going up against his old team that he played with for the first 12 years of his career. However, it will also be Jared Goff’s return to SoFi stadium and Los Angeles.

Goff accomplished a lot in LA with the Rams. He was the first draft selection that the Rams made after the move to Los Angeles and helped guide the team to a NFC Championship and Super Bowl appearance. The fans will welcome him back with open arms, but will be just as happy to see him get sacked by Aaron Donald. This will be a game to circle on the schedule.

Week 15 – Seattle Seahawks

Typically I would put the San Francisco 49ers in Week 18 in this spot. However, in Week 18, that game might not mean anything. On the other hand, another divisional game against the Seattle Seahawks late in the season just might. If things go according to plan, the Rams could potentially lock up the NFC West division title with a win in this game.

The Rams and Seahawks have a lot of history with each other. As Los Angeles fans, it’s understandable to have that Los Angeles-San Francisco rivalry, especially when you consider then history in the 70s. However, these two teams played in the NFC Wild Card game just last year and have had great games over the last decade. Week 15 should be another good one with a lot to play for.
