It has been a concerning week for the young and talented third-round pass rusher out of Alabama. Sean McVay confirmed today exactly what the concern was with Terrell Lewis and why today is better news than it could have been.
Sean McVay says Terrell Lewis had to have a knee procedure because of a fear there was an infection from a prior injury. Lewis will go on NFI and team expects him back – McVay says “it’s as positive as it could be” under circumstance. That is the spot that Calais will take.

Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reported that Lewis according to Sean Mcvay had to have a knee procedure because of the fear of infection from his prior injury to his knee in college. He is expected to be back but as the rules of the Non-Football Injury list show, Lewis will be out of action for at least six weeks.
In the interim, fans can expect to see former fourth-round pick Samson Ebukam take over a starting role as well as increased snaps for Jachai Polite, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo and newcomer Justin Hollins in his absence.
