The LA Rams finally had a first round pick in the era of Sean McVay. Little did fans know that they would not see McVay’s first shot in the first round as the Rams traded out of the first round with the Atlanta Falcons. Many fans are surprised that the Rams traded back out of the first considering the talent that was available to them at the time of their pick. Luckily for Rams fans there are still plenty of first round talent still available even heading into Day 2.

With this trade the LA Rams now hold the 45th pick in the 2nd Round. Originally the Rams did not have a pick in the 2nd Round but now have an opportunity to get a bargain at some 1st Round prospects that somehow fell into the 2nd Round. Many analysts had projected the Rams to take Safety Nasir Adderely in the 1st Round or a nice Edge Rusher in Jachai Polite. Plus top Corners Greedy Williams and Byron Murphy are still on the board which both can make an immediate impact on this Wade Phillips defense. Plenty of options ahead for these Rams as they head into Day 2 of the NFL Draft. Let’s not forget that the Rams own now three picks in the 3rd Round and can use some of that to move up in the 2nd round to get one or two players they really like. Day 2 will be an interesting Day to watch as a Rams fan considering they have so many outcomes that can happen depending on wha the teams ahead on them do. Keep an eye out for teams like the Texans, Patriots, Eagles, and Colts as they have multiple picks in the 2nd Round. These teams could easily trade up ahead of the Rams and take one those 1st Round talents. hopefully the Rams did their research and make a big splash here in Day 2 to fill the holes on this roster.
