The Los Angeles makes another move today by signing free agent linebacker Carlos Thompson. Thompson went undrafted of the 2015 NFL Draft. He would signed as a undrafted free agent with Houston Texans for one season, registered two tackles, and would be release in the off-season.
Thompson played collegiately at Ole Mis, where he was a tackling machine. His junior season, he posted 115 tackles and 10 sacks, and put up 71 tackles and 15 sacks as a senior.
Rams may have found a fit with Thompson because of his size in a Wade Phillips 3-4 defensive scheme. Thompson can be used as an outside linebacker and be transitioned inside as well with his 6’5” 253 pounds frame.
