Who is the 6-foot-4, 346 pound OG Zach Johnson?
North Dakota State left guard Zack Johnson was named to the Walter Camp FCS All-America, who was named to the Associated Press and AFCA first teams.
Strengths
Great work ethic
Force to be reckoned with as a pulling guard.
Has mastered multiple blocking schemes.
Ability to play right and left guard spots if needed.
Good pass protection
Great awareness around him ability to release to next level or switch blockers
Weaknesses
Staying healthy (missed entire sophomore year to knee injury, missed games as junior)
Suffered MCL injury to knee during East-West Shrine Game camps
Recovering from an MCL tear could push his stock down
Need to sheds a few pounds and work on his feet.
How does he fit with the Rams?
Playing at a program winning five straight national titles has that winning attitude to want to play great. Well coached and plays well as a run blocker with great instincts with pass blocking. Can step in right away when needed to play either guard position with a very stout lower body.
