This week the LA Rams come home to face the visiting Atlanta Falcons in an NFC West and South showdown. The Rams are losers of five in a row while the Falcons have faltered since their great start to the season.
Falcons Friday Injury Report
Tom Compton – T – Full Participation in Practice
Dwight Freeney – DE -Full Participation in Practice
Adrian Clayborn – DE – Knee – Did Not Participate In Practice – Out
Mohamed Sanu – WR – Groin – Did Not Participate In Practice – Out
Julio Jones – WR – Toe – Did Not Participate In Practice – Questionable
Robenson Therezie – S – Ankle – Did Not Participate In Practice – Questionable
Jake Matthews – T – Knee – Limited Participation in Practice – Questionable
The Atlanta injury report is not gigantic but still features at least two solid players in Sanu and LT Jake Matthews. Matthews may play which would surely help the Falcons against the Rams “amazing” pass rush and Sanu has already been labeled as out. More interesting however is the report that Julio Jones’ availability is looking more and more like he will miss today’s game. That would be a huge blow to a Falcon offense that will already miss its number two wide out and possibly their left tackle. Pay attention to see if Jones is in there as a decoy or is absent entirely.
Rams Friday Injury Report
Tavon Austin – WR – Full Participation in Practice
Jared Goff – QB – Full Participation in Practice
Rodger Saffold – T – Full Participation in Practice
Benny Cunningham – RB- Neck – Did Not Participate In Practice – Doubtful
E.J. Gaines – CB – Thigh – Did Not Participate In Practice – Questionable
Robert Quinn – DE – Concussion – Full Participation in Practice – Questionable
The Rams once again are on of the healthiest teams in all of football and it was never really a question if Goff would be available this week due to an illness that swept through the building. Austin will be back this week and will look to add a spark to a floundering offense. The biggest questions arise on the defense with EJ Gaines and Robert Quinn who both could miss today’s game. Quinn would be a blow to the defensive line that has struggled to sack the quarterback this season and would miss a chance to go against the second stringer at LT for the Falcons if he does indeed miss today’s game. Gaines will be missed but he has not gotten back to what many expected after returning from a foot injury last season.
