Rams DC Greg Williams dealt with more great news, Lions rookie RB Dwayne Washington has been ruled out.

ESPN has just reported that the Lions will be without both of their top two running backs. Rookie Dwayne Washington will not play due to an ankle injury he suffered against the Chicago Bears in week four.  The Lions will have to go with recently signed Justin Forsette and second year running back Zack Zenner.

Expect for Rams defensive coordinator to blitz and blitz regularly when his Rams meets the Lions this morning.  The Rams should have an edge on this being that Forsett being a smaller back and still trying to learn the offense may be the main focal point of the Rams. But, Williams can’t get to blitz happy, Forsett is an excellent receiver out the back field with the ability to make a defender miss.

Reserved second year back Zenner, is very inexperience himself, he has rushed the ball ten times for 21 yards and has three receptions for 45 yards. Expect the Rams middle rush to zero in on the run game. Last week the Lions lined up receiver Golden Tate in the backfield for a consecutive week. Tate had three carries for six yards against the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

The Rams defense should create mad havoc for Detroit’s offense and Matt Stafford may have over 50 passing attempts if the run game is ineffeicient.
