Now the first thoughts are the players out for this game. While we already knew Trumaine Johnson was going to be out, we had no idea who was going to be inactive for the Lions. It looks like Eric Ebron (the tight end Detroit picked over Aaron Donald) is out, DT Haloti Ngata is out which is a big blow for the run defense, LB DeAndre Levy is out and he is a stellar player and finally ruled out today was starting RB Theo Riddick and it doesn’t look convincing that his backup will even play. So luckily for the Lions they signed Justin Forsett who was recently cut by the Baltimore Ravens and should receive the bulk of the carries now with the injuries the Lions have at back.
The questions remain, will the Rams have their defensive line back intact? How did Quick all the sudden get on the injury report and if he can’t go will Nelson Spruce finally make his debut? Perhaps the biggest question of all will Ezekiel Ansah play? If so he could be an instant nightmare matchup versus a lackluster starting LT Greg Robinson.
