Five Rams to watch today versus Tampa Bay

This game is huge for the Los Angeles Rams young season and here are the five players you need to watch for in Tampa Bay today.

WR Kenny Britt

As I wrote previously Kenny Britt is a fantasy football must add, so if you don’t have him on your team you should pick him up before he is a priority waiver wire add next week. The reason I say that? He is going to score the Rams first touchdown of the season in this contest. His chemistry with his QB Case Keenum is undeniable and you see how when they connect on passes it looks natural, where as a throw to Tavon Austin looks forced or the play looks dead from the start. Britt is going to be vital in this one and that is why no.18 should be on your watch.

FS Maurice Alexander

Noted in the defensive starter article I wrote earlier in the week, Mo Alexander is the fifth best Free safety in the league per PFF at the moment of course. Alexander (no.31 pictured above) is ascending higher than McLeod ever went last season so he could prove that the Rams knew what they were doing in letting McLeod walk. The fourth round pick was all around the ball last season in the Color Rush game versus the Bucs and this game today should be no different.

CB Troy Hill

It looks like with E.J. Gaines return in question and the lack of plays made or rather the surplus of plays given up by Coty Sensabaugh, Troy Hill could make his first NFL start. Hill seemed to hold his own last week even though he did give up a bomb at the end of the game. Hill is only going to improve as he gets more playing time. This could be his big game and the Rams would need it as Jameis Winston will test the young corner early on. Look out for no.32, he could be running with the ball down the sidelines at some point this game.

RB Todd Gurley

It’s time to get the Gurleywood train going. He has more yards after contact than total yards. That is downright insane. The offensive line has played horrid but hopefully they turn it around for Gurley in this one. Last year Gurley didn’t exactly dominate the Bucs defense but he did fall into the end zone once so the Rams would love to get him that TD again.

OLB Mark Barron

There is always something fun about coming home to where you used to be and are not because they gave up on you. Mark Barron fits that bill, the Rams traded for him but the Bucs traded him away in a move he never saw coming. Barron should be looking for vengeance in Tampa today. Look for Barron giving Winston fits on blitzes and giving ball carriers fits in holding onto the ball. No.26 should have a field day making the Bucs regret ever trading him (if they don’t already…)
